Ever heard of Richard Dawkins? Famous Atheist, who wrote The God Delusion and other such tripe? Not a very nice fellow. Here's a blog with a Dawkins quote, showing just how arrogant and hateful this man really is. You can read the entire article (informative), or just skip ahead to the section titled, "Islamophobia" for the quote:

Dawkins and his ilk are responsible for this New Atheism nonsense. In his books and lectures, Dawkins urges people to actively oppose any belief system outside of Atheism: spirituality of any kind, religion of any kind, beliefs in paranormal activity and pursuit of any scientific investigation of such things, etc. He advises use of ridicule and other forms of trouble-making to undermine people's beliefs and bring attention to this militant cause.
What these morons forget is that the scientific method as we now practice it was invented by Sir Francis Bacon, a devout Christian, who believed in Creationism. Although that was long before Darwin came up with the theory of evolution, I doubt such a theory in his time would have made Bacon question his faith in a supreme being, or discount the notion that life exists due to some form of intelligent design.
It turns out most of the famous scientists we owe our progress to believed in some sort of higher power. Here is a partial list:

This blog isn't about arguing about whether God, spirituality, etc., exist. Although I won't go into any detail about my spiritual/religious beliefs, I will say that I am not an Atheist, Agnostic, or a member of any mainstream, organized religion. I believe everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want, so long as they don't try to push their belief system on others. What this blog IS about is calling attention to a disturbing new trend.
What's so bad about New Atheism and its proponents? Here's a blog with multiple pages. Fascinating stuff:

Basically, these people want to repeat history: they want to do to religious people the same things that Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and other dictators did. Estimated number of deaths caused by Atheist regimes? 250 million. That's all in less than a century. Compare that to the much smaller number that have died, throughout the entirety of human history, at the hands of religious fanaticism.
How can I say this? Because it's true. Look at what New Atheists want: a worldwide secular society, in which no one believes in anything that contradicts Atheism. A world in which anyone who believes in any form of religion is either locked away in an institution or euthanized. A world in which anyone who believes they've had a paranormal or mystical experience is treated the same. They may not say these things outright, but you can't have a completely secular society on all levels without persecuting and murdering anyone who believes anything else.
They claim that they're not Totalitarian, but how can a world which prohibits freedom of thought and freedom of belief be anything but Totalitarian? How is such an ideology not evil?
Stalin caused the deaths of approximately 61 million people with his Atheist regime, before making the wise determination that the only way to effectively rule was by supporting what people actually believe in. Towards the end of his reign, he brought back the Russian Orthodox Church. After all those deaths, he finally learned that murdering millions in the name of Atheism was causing economic and social collapse.
Mao's body count was 70 million. Although Atheism is still the official belief of the Chinese Communist government, at some point they learned that a world without spiritual beliefs is impossible, and stopped feeding Christians and Buddhists to the lions (or they at least cut down to appear less monstrous to the rest of the world). More than 75% of the entire world population believes in a higher power, and more than half the world's population believe in such things because they had a paranormal or mystical experience. Killing people in the name of Atheism is as insane as killing people because they were born with dark hair or for being male or female.
The 61 million murdered by Stalin and 70 million by Mao were just their own people. That's not counting the casualties from wars they waged in the name of Atheist Communism. Why should we believe that New Atheism doesn't pose the same threat? This time, the vehicle will be Capitalism or moderate Socialism.
These people are few in number, but so were Marx and his contemporaries before his political ideology was instituted by the U.S.S.R., China, and other Totalitarian states. These people can do real damage if they are allowed to infiltrate our government and undermine our civil rights with their pseudoscientific nonsense.
God is immaterial, as are spirits, a disembodied afterlife, etc. Science deals with measuring and testing material phenomena, not immaterial phenomena. God and spirituality will never be in the realm of science; they can neither be proved nor disproved to exist using scientific methodology. However, they can and are being inferred with science, as anyone who watches shows like "Through the Wormhole" can clearly see. Most scientists believe in or are at least open to the existence of some sort of higher power, as you can see here:
http://atheistwatch.blogspot.com/2011/10/more-than-half-scientists-believe-in.html
Of course, most New Atheists claim that most scientists are Atheists, but considering that they have the same access to the facts as everyone else, they are LYING. As can be seen in the arguments they post online, they will make up anything to try to convince someone that Atheism is correct, factual, and the absolute truth. For anyone who knows anything about science and religion, their arguments are completely ludicrous. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop them from converting pea-brained ignoramuses to their philosophy and cause.
By claiming that they have some handle on the truth and are authorities on what can or can't exist, Atheists are making false fact claims. There is absolutely nothing scientific about Atheism. If science really worked like they claim it does, Einstein never would have come up with the Theory of Relativity, because according to Einstein himself, when he hit a wall, he received solutions to his problems from what he characterized as disembodied beings that communicated with him during trance states. Tesla claimed the same thing. All the famous scientists who believed in God made similar claims about divine inspiration, visions, guiding voices, etc.
If science is purely material, no one would have ever come up with the idea that matter is composed of particles. No one could dissect and examine matter on such a scale; where was their material evidence? It was purely an idea, coming from intuitive experience. So was the religious belief that the world was a sphere, long before the "flat earth" notions of the pre-scientific era Catholic Church. So was the Hindu notion of the universe as a bubble in an infinite sea of other universe-bubbles, thousands of years before modern scientists came up with Multiverse theory. So was the concept of energy, which is an immaterial state. So was computer science, which started as an idea that a machine could perform calculations similar to those performed by a human brain.
Science is based in intuition; no free flow of ideas means no innovation, no discovery. This has been proved time and time again by history. Despite this fact, New Atheists would like to limit the entire world to their ideology, which is both anti-religion and anti-science.
New Atheism is anti-life. New Atheism is the new Nazism. As you can see by their ideology and actions, New Atheists are nothing more than a hate-group.

What can you do to stop these people? Shut them down. Here are the most effective ways:
- Don't get in arguments with them.
- Don't personally associate with them, unless required by work or business.
- Warn others about them.
- When you see them bullying people on websites, complain to the moderator or administrator. Demand that their profiles and posts be removed.
- Complain to the service providers of Atheist website owners that they are engaging in hate-speech; by bashing Judaism and other ethnic religions, they are defaming those ethnic groups. Demand that they refuse them service.
- If you live in a country that has laws forbidding the sale of hate-speech literature, complain to your government and get their works banned. Demand that they be prosecuted for writing such tasteless literature, and for inciting criminal behavior.
- If you live in a country that hasn't yet passed such laws, get politically active.
- If you live in a country that has outlawed hate-speech, notify the authorities of websites owners and posters who live in your country. Demand that they be prosecuted for their crimes.
- Compile lists of sites where these fools post their nonsense. Publish those lists in blogs for all to see what malevolent little idiots these people are. Don't forget to post links to counter-information so that your readers don't get confused by their rhetoric.
Don't let these people get into a position where they can use government to victimize anyone who doesn't agree with their worldview. They are few, we are many. Let's keep it that way.
